Chamber of Commerce

Since the formation of YBG in 1961 the relationship with “Chamber” has been strong. The Guernsey Chamber of Commerce has over 600 member firms and has close links to Government Departments, it is the main link between those doing business in the Island and those that run it. This is an important role that sees its elected Council and office staff undertaking a proactive role of dialogue in the development of business on the Island and the promotion of business around the world.  Chamber looks to YBG to undertake projects such as the annual Business Trends Survey, and YBG is very much a breeding ground for senior Chamber of Commerce Council members. A number of presidents of Chamber have come through YBG, this is proof of how valuable the relationship is.
